As owner of a successful technology business, I understand that financial stability is the key to any successful endeavor. I feel that attracting new business for Highland Village is important to our financial stability and retaining these businesses is paramount to our continued growth. I pledge to put my business sensibilities to work for you and for our Highland Village community.
We need to ensure the future of our community and our children by allowing our growth to be deliberate and measured without losing the elegance and beauty that is Highland Village. By careful and cautious management, we can effectively facilitate financial strength without destroying the quiet, natural beauty of our lakeside community.
Many Highland Village residents express concern about the expansion of roads and businesses to the point that we lose the very essence of what makes Highland Village special. For this reason, it is important to elect city officials that know the history of our city and have lived here to see the growth from the beginning.
I became a resident of Highland Village in 2002. I remember when 407 & Long Prairie Road was nothing more than farm land and swinging lights. That is one of the reasons I moved here. Highland Village is removed from the hustle and bustle of big city life. I pledge that I will fight to keep Highland Village as it has always been, while allowing for the appropriate growth to ensure our financial security.
With financial security, we can continue to grow and build our community with projects that are important to us. These projects include: Police and Fire equipment and staff improvements, education programs, school improvements and provisions, sporting fields, parks, walking and biking trails, road systems, senior citizen programs, animal shelters and adoption programs, and special services groups such as The Highland Village Rotary, of which I am a proud founding member.
I believe in our community. I believe in our future.
I am Bill Towe, running for City Council of Highland Village, Seat 7.
